Noted business publication Harvard Business Review speaks to the leader who wants to make a major difference in his or her company or organization - and indeed, many of its subscribers make a huge difference in the world! So why are they talking about emotional intelligence, team intelligence, authentic leadership and self-awareness? Because the old model of the impersonal, strong-arm, bottom-line driven “leader” doesn’t apply any more – it just doesn’t work in this highly competitive, decentralized global marketplace. Anyone who manages a team of Gen Y or Millenials knows that!
If you manage a team, you know what it takes to attract and retain talented people. Human Resources professionals in the fields of recruiting, talent management, on talent onboarding recognize that the old traditional “buyers market” rules no longer apply. Your younger generation employees expect you to be sensitive to their wants and personal priorities, such as requiring less overtime while still providing opportunities for advancement. And your mature workers expect you to demand a strong work ethic and productivity from these “newcomers,” while giving the seasoned, experienced staff appropriate recognition and rewards for their years of hard work and loyalty. How do I achieve this, and how long will it take?
A wise advisor once said to me “We would never expect the strongest, most talented athlete in the world to go out and compete without a coach to work with them and help them perform at their best. Why on earth to we expect even the smartest, hardest working executive to navigate the political and emotional landscape of the business world without someone coaching them?”
We all have unconscious behavior patterns and reactions, embedded in our neural networks, that run on automatic pilot unless we have the tools to short-circuit them and make new choices. A great leader does whatever it takes to release these self-limiting saboteurs. Through your coaching experience with me, you will understand what these hidden patterns are and how they are limiting you in ways you never even realized. Then you will gain mastery over them. You will learn to create completely new, expanded capabilities you never imagined you could have. You will know how to shift out of these old patterns at will, in even the most challenging situations. You will even be able to create openings in areas of your life and relationships that you thought were closed off to you.
I ask new clients for a three month commitment, to uncover the biggest and most deeply embedded patterns and how they are showing up in your daily personal and professional life. Almost immediately, you will begin to see how you are relating your world in a radically new way and will begin to create new opportunities to increase your effectiveness and, as a direct result, your levels of satisfaction and enjoyment of your daily experience. You will begin to have power to make new choices, where before there was only “one way” to look at things and one right answer to every problem. This can even begin to happen after only one session, because this work is so powerful. The exploration continues as we distinguish your unique ‘hot buttons’ that lead to ineffective action, and teach you how to shift in the moment into a new mindset of possibility and clarity. At the end of three months (or five days, in the case of my Authentic Leader ~ Authentic Life Retreat!), you are in a different place than you were when you started. You then have the option of continuing to build your level of self-mastery with further coaching, until you reach that vision of your career and life that has up till now eluded you.

Coaching Packages
All coaching includes ad hoc support by email and telephone, and is conducted by phone and teleconference. In-person sessions, as well as workshops and retreats (see “Programs”) can be arranged upon request.
Generating the Foundation
This three month package has a profound, eye-opening impact that leaves you fundamentally more empowered and well on your way to mastering what has previously eluded you. The experience is like riding a bicycle – one day you don’t know how to begin to do it, and after a little practice you will never go back to not being able to do it. The three month commitment completes the first phase of self-knowledge and is of sufficient duration to ensure permanent, sustainable behavioral change in the desired area of focus. All of the Coaching Programs described in Programs are three month packages.
Monthly Coaching
For clients who have completed Generating the Foundation, and want to continue working on deepening what they have learned, or on addressing additional goals, with the support of a coach.
Four Week Consulting/Coaching Intensive
For clients who have completed Generating the Foundation (or running concurrently with it). These clients are facing a specific short term challenge, or a critical deadline for taking an effective action. This intensive focuses on that desired outcome and provides daily accountability and inspiration. This helps the client put in place “Structures For Success” – practices that enhance and expand on their current level of self-mastery and bumps them up to the next level that much faster.
Group Coaching
An introductory one-on-one session with each participant jump-starts the coaching process and provides the opportunity to co-create a clear set of goals. Then the group meets for eight sessions over approximately ten weeks, with interim assignments and paired peer coaching calls and ad hoc support between sessions. Generally limited to six participants for maximum impact.
